About Jacklyn
As a licensed mental health counselor, my intention is to create an authentic and warm environment for my clients to feel safe and heard. I have a strong background in working with children, adolescents, and families, with some additional experience with young adults and adults. My specialties include autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, LGBTQ+, and more. I have a background in servicing a wide range of clients from diverse backgrounds and identities in a variety of different settings.

I started my career in human services, where I worked at a day skills program for adults with developmental disabilities. I went on to study psychology and education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with a specialization in developmental disabilities and human services. After working with children and adults with a wide range of disabilities for several years, I chose to pursue my Master’s in Mental Health and School Adjustment Counseling, with a focus in trauma, at Cambridge College in Boston, Massachusetts. Since then, I have been working as a school clinician, where I’ve developed a love for watching the people I serve grow, change, and develop the tools they need to meet their full potential.

My priority for the therapeutic journey is to equip my clients with the right tools and strategies to endure life’s challenges, and to empower my clients to use their inner strength to accept themselves wholly. Using a variety of therapeutic lenses from person-centered, to play therapy, to cognitive behavioral therapy, I believe that we can tailor the right modality to enhance your wellness so that you can process, heal, and harness your true power.
